Turks & Caicos
Just
575 nautical miles southeast of Miami and 90 miles southeast
of the Bahamas, the Turks & Caicos Islands are a short hour
and a half plane ride to relaxation.
Originally inhabited by the Lucayan
Indians. Reputed by many historians to be the first
landfall of Christopher Columbus in the New World in 1492,
the same exquisite sites that captured his attention remain unchanged
today.
With
an average year-round temperature of 83 F and an
annual rainfall of about 21", visitors can be sure they will
not be rained out or shivering by the pool.
The
country's eight Islands and over forty Cays are surrounded by crystal
clear waters, 12 miles of sun swept white beaches and breathtaking
coral reefs. Each perfect day is followed by a sunset you
just have to see to believe.
This
island getaway is comfortably removed from the rigors of the mainland,
located within the NW Point Resort, situated about a 15 min. drive
from the International Airport and Center of the Island (Turtle
Cove and Thompson Cove) where you find all types of restaurants;
and 25 min. from Grace Bay (Provo's Golf Club/Leeward Marina
etc.).
Development
on Provo is tasteful, with consideration to its natural surroundings.
There are no high rise structures, no crowds, no traffic jams.
And
thus, the island has preserved a coveted, relaxed pace that vacationers
and residents alike have searched the world for and found on Provo.
Unspoiled. Beautiful by nature. Inviting. Providenciales is the
tropics as they were meant to be. |
